Recycle for Greater Manchester

Today’s guest blogger is Anthony Dillon (The Green Champion) from the People’s History Museum, Manchester.  The People’s History Museum is one of the projects which secured funding from Recycle for Greater Manchester’s Community Waste Fund.   Anthony tells us a little bit about how the project has gone so far:

Back in March, We were awarded funding towards our ‘Museum Community Recycling and Education Project’.     Many of our visitors weren’t aware that we recycled in the museum and we wanted to make sure they did!

We have put the fund to good use. Since July, all the recycling bins are standing in pride of place in our museum’s reception so our staff and visitors can’t miss them!

We also have a new display green area where visitors can find out what happens to the rubbish they recycle in Greater Manchester.  Some of our staff even took a trip to where…
