Providing Development Trusts, Social Enterprises and the Third Sector reduced Utility Bills, energy advice and access to energy efficient technologies.
The Energy Action Group is a new way to cut energy costs. This large scale energy buying group, which was first piloted in Wales by the Development Trusts Association, has been a huge success. In partnership with energy consultants Touchstone Services we combine our expertise in the energy market to help our clients save money on energy bills as well as invest in energy saving equipment and improve energy efficiency.
We have now not only contacted every Development Trust in Wales, England and Scotland but have extended our market to include the Independent Museum Sector, Heritage Sites, the recycling sector, cooperatives, social firms and the care home sector and have achieved our first goal of now brokering some 20 million kWhs of electricity and gas contracts.
Our service includes
1. The Energy Buying Group
Receive no obligation quotes based on the basic energy bill information you provide. We combine the total energy consumption of our clients to buy bulk energy at competitive rates, accessing a prime open market which is otherwise inaccessible to smaller organisations. Sourcing energy prices via a standard broker cuts energy prices by around 10%. On top of this initial quote Bulk Buying of energy can increase these savings to 15-25%.
2. Specialised Energy Efficiency Advice and access to key Energy Efficient Technologies
We can provide you with energy efficiency advice, tailor made to suit your circumstances and also sign post you to other sources of advice and consultancy such as the Carbon Trust, Energy Saving Trust, Green Deal or a Renewable Energy Practitioner/Consultant. We also provide assistance in raising finance for energy efficient equipment. For instance Interest Free loans from the Carbon Trust.
